Airport Transfer Services
We offer different Airport Transfer Services to help bring children to and from camp, whether they’re arriving/departing by themselves or you’ll be dropping them off/picking them up at the airport. Please review the options below.
Airport Transfers
Our airport shuttle service operates on every course start and finish date. We have a specialist team of staff at the airports on arrival and departure days dedicated to ensuring the smooth transfer of each student between their flight and our shuttle buses to and from the school. Our shuttles run approximately every two hours between the airports and Charterhouse School. You give us your child’s flight details and we will meet them at the airport, wait with them and accompany them to our shuttle bus.
Transfers with Unaccompanied Minor Service (UM)
We recommend using an Unaccompanied Minor (UM) or Airport Assistance service if your child is under 14 years old or is an inexperienced traveller. This service provides an airline staff member to supervise and escort your child during their flight and in the parts of the airport that are not accessible to our staff. Many airlines offer this service and some require you to use this service for children under a certain age so please check with the airline and pay applicable fees for both your inbound and outbound journey. If you have booked this service you must notify us in your transfer booking. We charge an additional £30 for this service.

Our Airport Transfer Service gives both students and their families back home complete peace of mind, especially during periods of flight disruption or uncertainty. This service is more than the cost of a vehicle - providing dedicated care, supervision, and support for your child throughout their journey.
This service is only available to the attendees of Charterhouse Summer School. Parents are not able to use our Airport Transfer Service.

From the moment your child lands in the UK, our experienced team will be there to meet them, supervise them, and ensure they arrive safely at camp. For departures, we accompany students back to the airport, assist with check-in, and remain on hand until they are safely through the process.
Booking this service means your child is never left to manage unexpected travel issues alone - they remain in the care of our trusted staff, providing reassurance and confidence for both the travelling student and their family at home throughout the journey.

If flights are delayed, cancelled, or rescheduled, we will continue to look after your child every step of the way. Where necessary, this includes accompanying them at the airport, arranging updated travel plans, and even taking them back to our camp venue for overnight supervision until new flight arrangements are confirmed.
