Football

Charterhouse played a crucial role in the early history of Football with our school side, The Old Carthusians winning the FA Cup in the last all-amateur final in 1881. The school is linked with the Football Association’s creation in 1863 and some of the game’s early rules are thought to have originated at Charterhouse. Our First Eleven pitch is even an exact replica of the dimensions of Wembley Stadium.

Ideal for aspiring young footballers eager to elevate their game, this football elective develops essential skills through a mix of individual drills and team-based activities.
