Creative Communication

Find your voice. Tell your story. Make an impact. A new summer course for ages 10–12.

Creative Communication is a course for confident English speakers who want to become stronger writers, storytellers and speakers. Through journalism, debate, presentations and creative challenges, students learn to communicate ideas with confidence, clarity and imagination for different audiences.

The Power of Communication.

What makes a story unforgettable? How do you persuade someone to listen to your idea? And how does your communication change when you are writing for a friend, a newspaper, a stage or an audience?

Creative Communication is an immersive English course for confident young English speakers who want to develop their writing, storytelling and communication skills.

Explore, Create and Express

Through creative challenges, storytelling, journalism, role play, presentations, debates and pitching, students explore how language can be used for different audiences and purposes. They will experiment with different forms of communication, develop their own ideas and discover how to express themselves with confidence and creativity.

Real-World Communication

Students become authors, journalists, presenters, performers, entrepreneurs and storytellers, working individually and collaboratively on a series of engaging communication challenges. They will develop greater confidence in expressing themselves through the spoken and written word, while learning how to communicate ideas creatively, clearly and effectively for different audiences.

The Creative Showcase

The course culminates in a Creative Showcase, where students select and present their favourite work to an audience.

Developing English as a Foreign Language

This course is ideal for students with advanced English who wish to strengthen their language skills through the study of an academic subject. Following the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach, lessons place equal emphasis on Engineering and the English needed to discuss, analyse, and present complex ideas.  All students are supported in their English language development during the course.
